His approach is centered on understanding each person’s unique challenges and strengths, enabling him to provide personalized, holistic care.

One of Nicholas' specialties is adaptive outdoor recreation. He believes that nature offers powerful therapeutic benefits and works to ensure that all individuals, regardless of ability, can participate in outdoor activities. Nicholas has extensive experience in utilizing adaptive equipment such as specialized wheelchairs, all-terrain walkers, and adaptive bikes to help clients overcome physical barriers and fully engage with the natural world. By integrating these tools, he enables clients to hike, cycle, or enjoy water-based activities like kayaking—promoting physical health, building confidence, and fostering a sense of independence.

Nicholas is also an expert in sensory integration and sensory room design. He has extensive experience working with individuals who experience sensory processing challenges, and he focuses on creating calming, structured environments to help them feel more regulated. Whether designing a sensory room or incorporating sensory strategies into daily life, Nicholas aims to make the world more manageable for his clients.

His work extends into community-based therapy, supporting clients in real-world settings like schools, homes, and community spaces. This approach helps individuals build practical skills, enhance social connections, and increase self-confidence in everyday environments.

Nicholas also specializes in Tourette Syndrome treatment, using evidence-based interventions to help individuals reduce tics and improve self-regulation. He finds great fulfillment in watching clients gain more control over their lives and thrive.

Nicholas offers comprehensive behavior management services for clients of all ages.

By addressing challenging behaviors with individualized strategies, he helps clients develop self-regulation skills, build positive coping mechanisms, and improve their overall well-being. His approach is collaborative, often working closely with families and caregivers to ensure consistent support across all environments.

In addition, Nicholas provides feeding therapy for individuals with feeding challenges and picky eating. He develops customized plans that address the underlying causes, leading to lasting improvements.

With a deep focus on autism spectrum disorder and a strong commitment to creating individualized, effective treatment plans, Nicholas Schulz is dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their journey toward growth, development, and well-being.

Outside of work, Nicholas enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two kids.
